Set in 1905 Russia, this Chekhovian spoof follows the effect of a revolutionary rumor on an aristocratic couple, their doctor, and an overworked and temporarily overjoyed serf. The lives of both rich and poor are constantly shifting as ignorance leads to hearsay and then to sobering reality. (This play can also be performed as part of the full-length collection HA!)
