Shortly after a hellish experience on a hilltop in the Quang Tri Province of Vietnam, Lieutenant William Bonney shot seven Vietnamese villagers in cold blood. Called to answer for the brutal atrocities against these civilians, Bonney and his men give their testimonies of the incidents leading up to the lieutenant's court-martial. Published Reviews

"...the play celebrates the capacity of the human spirit to care deeply... Pielmeier evokes the hope that American males can evolve beyond the emotional level that makes a hero of that hollow shell, Rambo."

Centre Daily Times (University Park, PA)

"Want to get shocked out of your perception of current values? Want to cry on the inside? Want to understand the war in Vietnam -- finally...? Don't bring your children, but go see the most dramatic theatre production imaginable... On opening night an almost packed audience was just getting loose with a few chuckles when the magnificent actors began setting the scene of the terrors of war. Then come the bombshells -- of both words and actions. And just when the audience is at a point it can stand no more -- more comes, and more. ...You learn what American soldiers in Vietnam thought about the search for glory, what kind of enemy they were fighting, what is important back home. Perhaps best of all...you see talented actors...produce a performance of a lifetime."

Courier-Express / Tri-County Sunday (DuBois, PA)

"...as the lights come down to the final licks of Jimi Hendrix's version of "The Star-Spangled Banner," the theatre-goer witnesses the regeneration of a once-doomed Broadway play..."

Ted M. Sickler, The Daily Collegian (University Park, PA)
