Biography
Mike Lew's plays include microcrisis (Ma-Yi, NYC; InterAct, Philadelphia); People's Park (Victory Gardens Ignition Festival)]; Stockton (EST workshop production); Yit, Ngay (published in Plays and Playwrights 2006 and excerpted in The Best Women's Monologues for the 21st Century); and Moustache Guys (2g). His shorts include Tenure (24 Hour Plays on Broadway); Roanoke (Humana Festival); In Paris You Will Find Many Baguettes but Only One True Love (Humana Festival/Heideman Award winner/InspiraTO Festival winner); Virtual Congress (Keen Teens commission), The Roosevelt Cousins, Thoroughly Sauced (Sam French Festival winner); and Magician Ben Vs. The Wizard Merlin (published by Smith & Kraus). He and his wife Rehana Lew Mirza run the Ma-Yi Writers' Lab. Other residencies include Youngblood (alumnus), Old Vic New Voices, TCG Young Leaders of Color, and 2g. Yale College 2003, Juilliard 2012.
