Crystal Skillman. Crystal's plays include: Vacation, presented at MCC Theatre as part of their Playlab series; In the Wild, winner of Perishable Theatre's 8th Annual International Women's Playwriting Festival; Tooth, produced by the Ensemble Studio Theatre (EST) in its second festival of one-acts from Youngblood members, Thicker Than Water 2000; A Plan of Action, commissioned by the EST/Sloan Project; and There Are Worse Times Than This, chosen as a finalist for EST's Marathon '99. Crystal is a member of the MCC Theatre Playwrights' Coalition and the Dramatists Guild. She serves as playwright/dramaturg in residence for the puppet theatre group Drama of Works, working on their upcoming piece The Ballad of Phineas P. Gage. Currently, Crystal has been commissioned by the EST/Sloan Project to write her new play Flow, which will be read there in April 2000. She has also been commissioned to adapt both her plays Seven Variations On the Same Lover and Tooth into films for Weird Sisters.
