Biography
Erika Kuhn is a playwright, actor, and director. Her play Thank You For Shopping! co-written by Justin Borak received a staged reading by the West Virginia University School of Theatre and Dance and is available at playscripts.com. Her play Kill the Bird was the recipient of the 2023 Broadway Licensing New Works grant and premiered at West Virginia Public Theatre; it can be found on newplayexhange.org. She also directed and developed several new works with WVPT by Justin Borak: A Writer's Room, Community Garden*, and Cabin Chronicles* (*available at playscripts.com). With an emphasis on contemporary work and new play development, past favorite roles include The Skriker (The Skriker), Anna (Anatomy of a Suicide), Siohban (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) and Guthrie Theatre Dowling Studio productions with Full Circle Theater Company and New Arab American Theatre Works. She holds a BA in Performance from The University of Northern Iowa and an MFA in Acting from West Virginia University.
