
Biography
Justin Borak is a Lebanese-American playwright based out of New York City. He started writing in the Chicago comedy scene and worked at comedy houses like The Second City, iO, and The Annoyance. Selected full length plays include White Walls (The Workshop Theatre), A Writer’s Room (Broadway Licensing New Works Grant), haters gonna hate (Oklahoma Shakespeare Festival, West Virginia Public Theatre, The Prep NY, Lanford Wilson New American Play Prize) Kinda Sick (Ripple Effect, Lemonade Stand). His plays Community Garden, Thank You for Shopping and Cabin Chronicles are published through Playscripts and are produced at schools around the country. He has been selected for the 2024-2025 Ripple Effect Writer's Group, the Workshop Theatre's Developmental Program, and has developed work in Jaclyn Backhaus's Writers Group.
