Krista Knight's work includes Salamander Leviathan (Magic Futurebox, Joe's Pub at the Public Theatre, Ars Nova, Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival, New Georges Mini- workshop, KCACTF Musical Theatre Award from the Kennedy Center), Clementine and the Cyber Ducks (Ontological Hysteric Incubator, Hangar Theatre, Inkwell), Phantom Band (Walden Theatre, Voice and Vision, Dixon Place, Baldwin New Play Festival), Un-Hinged: A Silent Opera (TerraNOVA, WordBRIDGE, Playhouse Creatures), and Anaerobic Respiration (Playwrights Center of SF, NYC Fringe Festival) among others.
Her plays have been produced or developed at the Playwrights Center of Minneapolis, New York Theatre Workshop, Vineyard Theatre, Flea Theatre, Ashland New Plays Festival, Brown University, Live Girls!, and KSDS public radio. Commissions include The Berkeley Rep School of Theatre, Case Western Reserve University Nanobiology Department, The Assembly, Live Girls!, and Class Act. She has been in Residence at Tofte Lake, New York Mills, the Atlantic Center for the Arts, Interplay in Australia, UCROSS, Platte Clove, the Santa Fe Art Institute, Yaddo, and MacDowell.
Krista teaches playwriting at UC San Diego and St. Mary's College. Her play For Feet's Sake: The Wild Tail of a Little Mermaid is published by Playscripts, Inc.
