Steve Mayer. A professional composer for the last 15 years, Steve Mayer grew up playing in high school musicals and bands. After receiving an undergrad degree from UC Berkeley, Mr. Mayer worked steadily as a keyboardist in several live bands in the San Francisco Bay Area. As his interest in composing music began to grow, Mr. Mayer flourished in the busy San Francisco scene, composing themes and underscoring for several TV shows on MSNBC, HGTV, and other networks, as well as keeping a busy schedule creating music and sound design for a steady stream of children's entertainment and educational products. After a four-year stint as a full-time composer for the Leapfrog Toy Company, Mr. Mayer sought bigger challenges in the Los Angeles market, moving there in 2005. Since that time, Mr. Mayer has worked steadily in the TV industry, composing music for shows on ABC, E! Network, The Style Network, and others, and also scored an independent feature film, Ted's MBA, featuring rising stars Breckin Meyer and Adam Scott.
Mr. Mayer is happily married to wife Julie for seven years, and they have two boys, Ben and Eli.
