| In his increasingly desperate search for a kidnapped boy, Detective Stewart Grant finds himself relying more and more on the visions of Connie Aisling, a psychic who can foresee crimes like these with terrifying clarity. Connie knows that time is running out for the boy, and clings to the hope that she can help avert the horrible fate awaiting him. As the identity of the kidnapper comes into grim focus, both the psychic and the detective confront the purpose of fate and the horrors of the past, and are pulled toward a devastating climax. |
