Scribe is an angst-filled writer experiencing some serious word-related anxiety as he attempts to create a play. In his search to find the words that fit, he becomes the main character in his own play where plot means less than the words that tangle around him. A Play With Words is a high-energy one-act filled with puns, spoonerisms, malapropisms, rhymes, oxymorons, literal metaphors, and mixed proverbs, all culminating in an outrageous "Who's on First?"-style courtroom scene.

The Rules of Comedy by Peter Bloedel
    Comedy
    Short, 35-55 minutes
    6 females, 6 males, 10 either
    (10-48 actors possible: 0-24 females, 0-24 males)
$40.00 per performance; $7.99 per book

The audience is given a side-splitting lesson in what's funny and what's not funny. In order to prove that the Rules of Comedy work, they are hilariously inserted into one of the most popular tragedies of all time: William Shakespeare's Hamlet. The Rules of Comedy is a physical comedy "blow-out" with an interesting twist that showcases the cast's ability to handle tragic drama, as well. Playing by the rules has never been so much fun.

The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet

    (12-24 actors possible: 3-21 females, 3-21 males)
$45.00 per performance; $8.99 per book

A whimsical reinvention of Shakespeare's tragic love story, complete with rhymed couplets, creative wordplay, and fantastical machines -- similar to something Dr. Seuss might have come up with if he ever had his way with the script...

(This play can also be performed as part of the full-length play One-Act Rhymes for Bible Times.)
