Biography
Oliver Butler is a founder and co-Artistic Director of The Debate Society. He has been developing new plays with Hannah Bos and Paul Thureen since 2004. Their play Cape Disappointment was recently published in Play A Journal Of Plays. In New York, Mr. Butler has directed the world premieres of Cape Disappointment, You're Welcome, The Eaten Heart, The Snow Hen, Red-Haired Thomas, Hostage Song, A Thought About Raya, and Christmas with the Flamingos. He was the Assistant Artistic Director of The Berkshire Theatre Festival where he directed The Einstein Project and This is our Youth.
