  • Tanya Palmer is a playwright and dramaturg. Her plays, which include Body Talk, Fatherland, Barbra Live at Canyon Ranch, Spring and Trash, have been workshopped and/or produced at Actors Theatre of Louisville, The Hangar Theatre, Solar Stage and the Montreal Fringe Festival, The Harbourfront Centre, HERE and The Wilton Project, and published by Smith & Kraus, Samuel French, and Playscripts, Inc. She currently serves as the Literary Manager at The Goodman Theatre in Chicago. Prior to moving to the big city, she was the Director of New Play Development at Actors Theatre of Louisville, where she was responsible for the reading and selection process for the Humana Festival of New American Plays and the National Ten-Minute Play Contest. She has co-edited several collections of new plays, and has written articles on theatre and new play development for American Theatre, Theatre Topics and Parabasis. Originally from Calgary, Alberta, she holds an M.F.A. in Playwriting from York University in Toronto.
